"India grew up as a military brat, moving frequently and experiencing a wide variety of
cultures and communities. Those experiences instilled in her a deep appreciation for
different perspectives, as well as the adaptability and work ethic that continue to shape
her approach to the practice of law.
India earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and International
Management from The University of Texas at San Antonio before obtaining her Juris
Doctor from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law. Her educational
background in business and economics provides her with a practical understanding of
the financial and commercial issues that often arise in litigation, allowing her to develop
legal strategies grounded in both legal analysis and real-world considerations.
India began her legal career as a solo practitioner during the COVID-19 pandemic, a
uniquely challenging time that demanded creativity and an unwavering commitment to
her clients. Over the course of three years, she represented individuals and businesses
in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Her practice focused on helping families
remain in their homes while also advocating for clients in business disparagement,
consumer protection, personal injury, and contract disputes. This experience allowed
her to build a diverse litigation practice while developing a client-centered approach to
advocacy.
Following her solo practice, India joined a large Texas personal injury firm, where she
successfully resolved numerous cases on behalf of injured clients. Representing
plaintiffs in complex personal injury matters strengthened her litigation, negotiation, and
case management skills while reinforcing her commitment to achieving meaningful
results for those she represented.
Before joining Harper Law Firm, India practiced as a litigation defense attorney
representing national insurance carriers and commercial clients in personal injury,
commercial motor vehicle, premises liability, deceptive trade practices (DTPA), and
employment-related litigation. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, she
brings a well-rounded perspective to every case, allowing her to anticipate opposing
strategies, evaluate risk effectively, and advocate for practical, results-driven solutions.
India is licensed to practice before all Texas state courts and the United States District
Courts for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas. She is a member of the Texas
Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA) and the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association
(SATLA).
Outside of the office, India enjoys spending time with her family and her puppy, Hoku.
She loves cooking, exploring the outdoors, cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers, and
following the financial markets. She is also committed to serving her community by
assisting veterans and advising college athletes as they navigate Name, Image, and
Likeness (NIL) opportunities and related agreements."
