Miss Avery was my husband's lawyer through the court proceeding Miss Avery failed my husband multiple times on not sending his court paperwork to him so he can violate start the court proceeding on violating his child's children's mother she is taking the kids and disappeared from Syracuse Miss Avery... knows about this Miss Avery has not and will not contact us and she has not set any of the paperwork that we need so we can further our case it's been over 2 months she does not answer no phone calls or anything

Ms Avery was assigned council in my case. That being said, I do understand the fact that assigned council attorneys are under paid but this woman takes that to an extreme. She was a horrible communicator and was dishonest almost from the beginning. She had plenty of solid evidence but she failed to m...eet the discovery process and told me that it was a mistake. She also missed a hearing with the judge and other parties. I was in the court room and texting her that the judge wanted to know where she was and she said she wasn’t on with us that day. She was there with me when the judge gave us the date for the next hearing and I was also there but she told me later that she was in the courthouse sitting on bench waiting for her next case. She is not a responsible attorney in any way. I ended up losing my family court case that took years to prepare for, my ex had held the child away for months and had clearly violated the agreement several times but Ms Avery missed discovery and that basically threw my evidence out the window. She was aware of what she needed to do and then after she lied to me, she didn’t even bother to finish the case and was FIRED from the firm she was with, nobody even told me she had been fired so I had to deal directly with the family court. I probably would have been better off without an attorney!! I literally have nothing nice to say about this attorney at all. I have already begun the process of reporting her actions to the Attorney Grievance Committee in Onondaga Co. I was informed that she was removed from the assigned council program as of October 7th 2022.
