Betsy Spalding Kimball

Betsy S. Kimball is a Senior Counsel in the firm’s Sacramento office. Ms. Kimball maintains a practice emphasizing appellate matters, legal malpractice litigation, counseling in legal ethics, liability loss prevention and disciplinary matters, and business litigation.

Ms. Kimball has been recognized in Northern California Super Lawyers every year since 2010. She has taught professional responsibility as an Adjunct Professor at Pacific McGeorge School of Law. She has served as an appointed member of the State Bar of California’s Committee on the Appellate Courts and Committee on Professional Liability Insurance. In December 2014, the Sacramento County Bar Association gave Ms. Kimball its annual President’s Award, and in 2015, the Capitol City Trial Lawyers recognized Ms. Kimball with its Joe Ramsey Professionalism in Law Award. A dedicated writer and advocate for her appellate clients, Ms. Kimball also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Sacramento Lawyer magazine.
