You can call me Ashley! Since I was a wee lass, it has been clear that I have a natural talent for argumentation and advocacy. I further developed those talents into skills through years of studying, volunteering, and working in furtherance of my mission to leave the world a better place than I found it.
I first worked in criminal law doing everything from tutoring prison inmates in GED prep to working as a paralegal in a criminal defense firm to counseling and advising victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse on college campuses. During and following law school, I worked in Petersburg, Virginia in the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney where I represented the government in front of both judges and juries. In addition to the volunteer service awards that I recieved, I graduated law school with a concentration in criminal law and procedure.
After graduating during the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic, I moved into employment law where I represented employees who faced discrimination in the workplace, suffered from unpaid wages, or otherwise needed legal advice in regards to workplace matters. As many have faced uncertainty due to job loss during the pandemic, I worked to negotiate severance agreements that allow former employees to both retain heath coverage and pay the bills without anxiety while finding new employment.
My particular passion in employment law was helping employees with disabilities. I enjoy working with employees to fight for reasonable accommodations in order to make the work environment more accessible; for example, I helped secure the installation of accessibility software on company computers for a visually-impaired employee, as well as training for the employee to learn how to get the best use out of the software. In my first year practicing employment discrimination, I successfully argued for partial summary judgement in a complex disability discrimination case against a federal government agency. I also fight for employees who have faced workplace discrimination based on the employee's other protected class(es) including but not limited to race, color, nationality, sex, gender, pregnancy, and age. My background in sociology helped me to craft new and powerful arguments that acknowledge the specific culture of discrimination, particularly intersectional discrimination, in the twenty-first century.
Now, I am back to my first love: criminal defense. As a criminal consultation attorney, I provide consultations to individuals on a variety of issues including but not limited to: DUI, petit larceny, reckless driving, hit and run, trespassing, gun rights restoration, and expungement. I strongly believe that a fair and zealous defense is essential to our justice system and it should be afforded to every individual accused of a crime or crimes.

Ashley Wilson, An Attorney Not ATo Fight
I was involved in a lawsuit involving an out of state corporation. The corporation had the money to block my every move. Ashley and her team researched my case and found a way to secure justice for me. Ashley was firm in her negotiations and well prepared for the battle.

Ashley has been a part of my legal team for the last year and a half and I have never met a lawyer that invested her energy in both the case and the client. Ashley realizes from both the legal and human perspective that both are connected inseparably. Ashley came into the case almost two years afte...
