I thought I could handle it by myself, pro se. However once I begin looking at the evidence I was overwhelmed by the monumental task ahead of me. I knew I needed an attorney. I was helping my 70 year old neighbor out after he lost his wife. I spent 6 weeks helping him clear his property. Never asked for anything from him (he is a hoarder). The neighbor then turned around and claimed that I was stealing from him, going to his property and threatening him and stalking him .... Neighbor called police a few times and they came to my house , neighbor then obtained an anti harrassment order against me. That's when I contacted Anthony. The first time we went to court Anthony files a continuance. The other party didn't have a lawyer and was blindsided by Anthony . Anthony is very articulate and knows how to handle the courtroom. I was falsely accused of Assault 3 of a police officer. Based on bad information that the police had at the time they believed I had committed this crime. I had never been in a situation like this before. I was with my family miles away when this happened. I thought that the police and the prosecu...tors would listen to my family and my girlfriend who were with me. I was wrong. The officer claimed he identified me through my DOL photo and facebook. He said that I was the one that had assaulted him. That was it. The cop said it was me and that was all the prosecutors cared about. I was scared and confused as I had not done this. I did not know what to do. My brother recommended that I hire Anthony Grasher. Anthony immediately went to the location where this occurred and subpoenaed the video. The police had also gotten a copy of the video from that night but Anthony got it through his subpoena faster than the prosecutors gave it to him. This was shocking. Anthony met with my witnesses and took recorded statements from them. Then he worked the case backwards with the names of the other people in the police report and he was able to not only prove it wasn’t me, but he was able to actually figure out who the person was that had assaulted the officer. His ability to listen, believe, and INVESTIGATE, resulted in my charges being dismissed and the person that actually did it being charged. He was amazing and saved my life.
