Anthony recognizes the need to help businesses manage both growth and risk through a clear, practical and robust contractual framework. At the heart of any successful business are its relationships - between founders, with customers, clients, employees and service providers. Adopting the “less is more” approach, Anthony excels at supporting key business relationships through practical structuring, strategic advice and effective, user-friendly legal agreements.

Anthony regularly applies his considerable commercial experience and technical skills to assist entrepreneurs, investors and institutions ranging from start-ups seeking seed capital, to major global organisations launching new products or entering into strategic transactions – with the common theme being the development of authentic, trusted relationships with people exhibiting a spirit of entrepreneurship.

Anthony has worked as an Executive Director and General Counsel (WSS) at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank (the largest bank in the United States), as a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance (one of only four global ‘Magic Circle’ law firms), and as a Senior Accountant at a Big 4 global accounting firm. He has held senior in-house legal roles in Infrastructure, Worldwide Securities Services and Investment Management.

Anthony has been representing clients in M&A transactions throughout his career. Recognizing that growth through acquisition can provide opportunities that organic growth simply cannot, and that founders and investors should be afforded opportunities to sell or recapitalise their ownership stakes, M&A is at the core of Anthony’s practice. Anthony regularly advises buyers and sellers of businesses across a broad spectrum of industries, and across a wide range of transaction values.
