Anna Prettyman

Avoid this attorney at all costs. She took my money and failed to provide the services promised. She did not advocate for me during the divorce process and even misled the judge by claiming she would submit the divorce decree—yet she didn’t even draft it by the deadline I was divorcing an abusive na...rcissist (Brad Nordin), who hit me and instead of protecting my interests, she allowed his attorney to control the negotiations. When I pushed back, she threatened that going to court would cost “tens of thousands of dollars,” even though I had already paid her $40,000 for just one month of representation. Her actions were dishonest, unethical, and caused unnecessary stress and delays. In my experience, she cannot be trusted. Do yourself a favor and find another attorney. I have reported her to the bar and strongly encourage you to do the same if you experience anything similar.

I should have read more reviews. I read the first couple which were all great reviews. I had an initial telephone meeting with her where she made me feel like it was imperative to get her the retainer so she could start on my case right away. Was extremely responsive when asking how to get her the mo...ney and then as soon as she got my money it would be days until I got an email response which consisted of sending documents to review. Never once acknowledging questions I had asked or providing paperwork outlining what to expect which I requested SEVERAL times. I feel taken advantage of during an extremely tough situation that involved my ex withholding my children from me and I was heart broken due to police not helping and then to be taken advantage of by an attorney that’s supposed to help me really just shows you cannot trust anyone. It’s sad and idk how this woman sleeps at night taking advantage of people like she does. All of the previous 1 star reviews that have been written are spot on. I wish I would have seen them prior to sending thousands of dollars. Zero communication. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

I hired Ms. Prettyman to represent me in a divorce case. She was incredible at the first meeting. Every other one after that was horrible. She DOES NOT respond to phone calls and you may get an email back 3-4 days later. I paid her a flat fee up front and when I asked her for an invoice, she actually... billed me for her paralegal to prepare my invoice. I had to finish the case on my own. The money I gave to her was without a doubt the biggest waste of money I have ever spent in all of my life. To be completely honest, I wouldn't have let my ex use Anna Prettyman as her attorney!!

I hired Anna to review my mutual divorce case and she was great! Her ongoing follow-up and communication was truly appreciated when my ex's attorney sent on unfinished draft paperwork. Anna made valid, concise suggestions and didn't allow for frivolous requests. If you are looking for an attorney who... will represent you to the fullest extent, look no further than Anna.

I worked with Prettyman Law in my dissolution of my marriage and would highly recommend their services. Anna was very knowledgeable and organized. She was able to answer all of my initial questions and made an action plan that worked best with my personal case and I felt comfortable with. As many div...orce situations, emotions between my ex-husband and I started off amicable and then got worse throughout the process, often changing depending on the day. However, Anna was very professional and proactive throughout the entire case, all while keeping my best interest in mind. Although divorce is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone, I would certainly recommend hiring Prettyman Law if you were dealing with the dissolution of marriage.
