Ecstatic Specialist

Ann has consistently provided thoughtful and principled legal expertise during my negotiations of two contracts and a job transition. Her insights were instrumental in helping me leave my previous role with my reputation intact and successfully negotiate for a higher salary. I have greatly benefited... from her guidance, and I understand why her name is often highly recommended on physician forums across the U.S. Her expertise has been invaluable, and I will be sure to continue to recommend her excellent services to other physicians.

The best lawyer for all your contract needs

I'm currently a 3rd GI fellow and I hired Ann Bittinger to review my term sheet as well as negotiate my employee contract for a hospital system. Ann was thorough, efficient and responsive to all forms of communication. She listened to all my needs during our introductory phone meeting and help trans...late that into effective contract negotiations. She presented MGMA data to me that was pertinent to my field as a new GI physician to help compare my current offer to others in the field and ultimately was key in negotiations. She was highly successful in helping me negotiate all the terms for my contract including but not limited to salary, rvus, bonuses, etc. Additionally, she also highlighted areas I needed to consider more closely (which could have easily been overlooked without a lawyer, in my opinion). I could not be happier with her services! Thank you Ann!

Great ideas, thorough, successful

Ms. Bittinger was extremely helpful throughout the process of reviewing my employment offer/contract as a physician seeking a new job opportunity. She provided me with the knowledge and insight I needed to proceed in a professional manner. She addressed all of my concerns and was timely in her respon...ses. Not only this, she gave me ideas on how to approach the difficult task of negotiating challenging topics in a tactful manner. With her help, I was able to negotiate a higher salary, a signing bonus, and an improved non-compete clause. Her input put me at ease through something that would typically make me feel very uncomfortable. I will be recommending her to all of my friends and colleagues who may benefit from similar services.

Poor to Mediocre

First time dealing with a lawyer for the purpose in mind. Selected this lawyer based on reviews here and because of her purported expertise in health-care. I would have loved to have had the same experience with this lawyer as other reviewers. Perhaps there was more money at stake with the other revi...ewers and hence more dedication from Ms. Bittinger. Either way, for my case, Ms. Bittinger was quick to reply with email. She didn't keep me informed. Felt that I needed to prod her along to get answers and things done. The only thing she didn't need any urging was her fees. They were always timely. With regard to knowledge, cannot really comment. Conversations were very short. No explanations given. Of course, the fact the high rate of billing discouraged questions from me. Overall, very disappointed. Wasted a good chunk of money for this lesson.

When clients use a specialist attorney for the first time, it may take some time to gain an understanding of legal fees and the legal process. We do our best to set clients' expectations of results, costs and turn-around times. We are a busy practice, and we let our clients know if it may be a few days before we can attend to a project. As per our engagement letter, invoices are set out each month on the first business day of the month. Our time keeping and charge process is updated daily, so clients can request their balances at any time to avoid surprises.

President, Coastline FCU

Ann is a great attorney because she is honest & trustworthy then straight to the point with a Will Rogers type of wit and wisdom. Her legal knowledge is excellent but was rated lower in the financial sector versus her expertise in health and contracts.
