Hanauer walked around the corner of two walls in a doctor’s office that was packing to move out. She fell over boxes that were stacked up in a place not visible when coming around the corner. She fel ... l, fracturing her patella (kneecap), which was surgically repaired. Ms. Hanauer made an excellent recovery. Defendants claimed Ms, Hanauer should have seen the boxes or should have known there were boxes around the offices, as they were clearly moving out.

He suffered a fractured left femur and underwent surgery for the placement of an intermedullary rod.
