I was waiting outside for court and my dad was talking to another lawyer who knew Mr. Abreu, and said he knew he could help and help he did. He called quickly and with calm assurance and knowledge talked to me on the phone and drove across town and found me and talked to me again about what I would n...eed to do and how he would talk for me. He talked to the trooper that gave me the ticket but didn’t see the accident and then looked for the witness but they were not there. Court started and the judge asked for me. Mr. Abreu went up confidently and kindly told the judge that the trooper did not see the accident and the witness was absent and he asked the Judge to dismiss the case and she quickly granted this and dismissed the ticket and no points! When our student at University of Central Florida received notice of charges from the Office of Student Conduct at UCF we were very alarmed and at a loss where to turn. That we are out of state and our student was home for the summer only made a difficult situation that much more challenging. Andrew was a patient and calming influence on all of us as he answered our questions and laid out a plan to deal with the charges. Thanks to the advice and counsel of Andrew Abrue the process ended at the prehearing conference when the OSC acknowledged there was no reason to pursue the charges further and dismissed the case. We could not have been happier with the outcome. At this point our professional relationship with Andrew should have ended. However, Andrew followed up with us weeks later and intervened when the OSC delayed providing written confirmation to us regarding the dismissal of the charges. It was clear that Andrew not only was our attorney but honestly also cared about our student and ending this ordeal for our entire family. As for the cost, Jordan Law was reasonable in their initial quote and the final bill was exactly that with no surprises. Dealing with the Office of Student Conduct at UCF is a painful and challenging process.
