Honest, Thorough, Direct

Allison assisted my husband and I during a private termination of parental rights for our oldest daughter's bio-father. She was upfront with us on winning such a motion. We proceeded with the motion and the case went to trial. Through all of the hearings and different obstacles that were put in place... Allison maintained her professionalism and did her best to help the case go in our favor. The case did move to trial. During the trial phase she perfomred wonderfully, direct, observant and determined. Allison helped us win this motion and was able to follow through with the step-parent adoption, which was the ultimate goal. This is not a normal family law case, and we knew going into it the odds were not in our favor. I believe that Allison worked well with us, kept our expectations realistic, and helped make our family whole.

Allison Marshall

Our son hired Allison Marshall to handle a rather complicated child custody case. The case dragged on for almost a year, including a change of judges, a number of false accusations of sexual abuse that the mother filed against our son and then us (his parents), and a kidnapping of the child by the ...mother at one point. Throughout the process, Allison was very confident, extremely well organized, and available to meet with us as requested. She worked with her colleague at times. I have no qualms about recommending Allison.

Experienced and knowledgeable

I was served with papers for child custody and had to go searching for a lawyer. I ran into Ally's reviews on Avvo and thought that she sounded like someone I would want to represent me. After meeting with other lawyers and then her, I knew that I wanted to hire her immediately. She has a very obj...ective point of view and she is realistic. She was responsible and made sure she communicated with me with my case and when we went to mediation. She is very familiar with family law and knows about several aspects of the family court system. I always felt like I could trust her and she always made sure that I was comfortable with decisions being made. When she needed to step in, she did, without hesitation. Mediation is a roller coaster of emotions and she was there not only to represent me but to give me a sense of security that I was making the right decisions. I would highly recommend Allison Marshal for family law representation.

Great Help!!

I have hired Allison twice, the first time when my ex wife took me to court for more child support and more resently to have child support terminated. Both times she knew what needed to be done and took care of it. She treated me with kindness, caring and got the best results I could have ever hope...d for! Thanks Allison

An awesome down to earth lawyer who knows her stuff!

I went to Allison after trying to complete a joint divorce on my own because I did not want lawyers involved. Allison took all of my info and wishes and completed the paperwork in a timely fashion with only a month before court. She negotiated all of the settlement information with the other lawyer... to be sure I got everything I needed and even when the judge disagreed with parts of it she was able to fix it on the spot and get a very good divorce settlement. Allison was very professional but also very real. She was able to ease my concern over the proceedings and take care of business. I would highly recommend her to anyone, but especially those who are not sure of the ins and outs of divorce and have been in compromising situations with regards to divorce.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Allison Marshall and I represented respective opposing ex-spouses in a difficult case. Allison knew the facts and law of the case and was well prepared. She also appeared to have a good relationship with her client. She was able to be professional with the judge and myself, as opposing counsel, which was remarkable given the high intensity of conflict in the case. We were able to settle the case just minutes before a contested trial. I believe the resolution was in both our clients' best interests and more importantly in the best interests of their joint children. Only a small percentage of attorneys are talented enough to both be prepared to present their legal case but at the same time be open to tough but professional negoations to explore alternatives to a judge-imposed decision."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I worked with Allison as an opposing attorney in a matter where I was reviewing a Prenuptial Agreement. In my experience, it can be difficult to strongly advocate for your own client in the context of a prenuptial agreement matter while also taking into consideration the feelings of the opposing party (fiance). Unlike an opposing party in a divorce matter, the parties in a prenuptial agreement matter are planning to be married and are just beginning their life together. They are in love, and they are trying not to offend the other party with the language in the prenuptial agreement, while still trying to ensure their own best interests in the process. I was very impressed with Allison's ability to strongly advocate for her own client and clearly express her client's wishes while also taking into consideration the concerns expressed by the opposing party. Allison was also very competent and knowledgeable regarding the law. I would strongly recommend Allison as a family law attorney."
