I was born in New Jersey and raised in Arizona. I attended the University of Arizona, receiving a BA in Political Science and graduated magna cum laude. While at the University of Arizona, I participated in the Arizona Blue Chip Program, a four year leadership development program and became a member of several honor societies, including Phi Beta Kappa.
Immediately after college, I attended Seattle University School of Law and graduated in 2009. While at SU, I was an active member of the law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta and represented my school at the National Convention in 2008. While in law school, I participated in the Family Law Clinic and gained an interest in family law.
Since graduating law school, I have worked mostly in the field of family law, and I greatly enjoy the ability to help people in their time of need.

When I retained Alison's representation, I knew I could finally breathe again!
Alison VanDerVolgen represented me in my recent marriage dissolution and child custody case. Clement Law Center was my 3rd attempt at finding a legal team that I felt could and would represent me in a way truly looked out for the best interest of myself and my daughter. From the moment I began talkin...
"Alison works hard to advocate for her clients, and is also compassionate and sincere. I highly recommend Alison."
"Alison is one of the most organized and meticulous lawyers I have ever known. She is an amazing attorney to have on your side especially in family law when a case can be made or lost solely on the forms and deadlines. She is incredibly on top of things and knows family law and the court rules/requirements backwards and forwards. I would want her on my side in a family law matter."
"Ms. VanDerVolgen is a compassionate perfectionist who will provide outstanding representation to any client. I have known Ms. VanDerVolgen for two years now and witnessed her successes. If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for your rights and navigate you through any family law matter, Ms. VanDerVolgen is the attorney for you. In turbulent times, Ms. VanDerVolgen is calm and collected--always with a client's best interests at heart. She is extremely professional and diligent, and I highly recommend her."
"Alison is a zealous advocate for her clients, and brings her humanity to her practice of family law. I recommend Alison without reservation."
"I strongly endorse this lawyer. I have known Alison since law school where we worked together in our school's family law clinic. Later in practice we worked together on family law matters in King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. Alison is a strong advocate for her clients and knows more about the ins and outs of family law than any other attorney I know. Her attention to detail, compasion, and high level of competency and integrity set her apart. If I were referring a client to a family law attorney Alison would be my first recommendation."
"Alison Reese is a superb attorney. She works tirelessly for her clients, and is a vigorous advocate for the good of her clients and their children. Her active participation in the activities of the bar and bench have advanced her professional reputation with all of the attorneys and judges who have worked with her."
