Simply the BEST criminal defense attorney

I retained Admir Jusic in the fall of 2021 after an arrest on three felony counts of aggravated stalking. The first and most pressing issue was the no contact order that is standard issue with any domestic violence type charge (arrest…not conviction, just an allegation). It forbid me from being withi...n 500 feet of the alleged “victims” who live next-door to me. The houses are less than 100 feet apart. The soonest we could get a motion on the court’s calendar was six weeks out. I was homeless for six weeks until the hearing date (yet, I own my home). The State had not filed formal charges when the hearing to modify the no contact order took place. Assistant State Attorney Dustan Geurin CLEARLY underestimated Mr Jusic. I can understand how a privileged, white man would make that error. Mr. Jusic is a person of color, an immigrant, young (under 30 is my best guess), and smaller in stature than me (I am 5’9” and husky-many people are smaller than me). The alleged “victim” did her best to appear pathetic and afraid. ASA Geurin had difficulty explaining why formal charges had not been filed in the six weeks since arrest. Judge Baxley listen to the facts that Mr. Jusic presented and ruled in our favor. After being humiliated in open court, the State dropped the felony charges and remanded the cases to the misdemeanor division. In fact, ASA Geurin didn’t even look up from his paperwork after the ruling (crying maybe?). While out on bond on this case, the LaKKKe County Sheriff’s Office kicked down my door in the middle of the night and entered my home. They stated they had a warrant for my arrest for battery. I had evicted my tenants the week before. Sara had left belongings behind including her vibrators, gun cleaning kit, assorted intimate aids, and prepped meals in the refrigerator. I had taken those items to her at her place of employment and gave her the box. The corrupt LaKKKe County Sheriff’s Department called that battery. When they entered my home, I was in the bathroom on the toilet. I asked to wash my hands. I was told that was resisting arrest without violence. I was taken to jail and booked on a $1000 bond. Fortunately, the LaKKKe County Jail is as incompetent as the LaKKKe County Sheriff’s Office. They permitted me to post bond and released me within a couple hours of arrest. Standard procedure called for the bond to be revoked on the original charges. When I spoke to Mr. Jusic in the morning he was quite shocked that the original bond was not revoked. Several days later I received a call from Mr. Jusic informing me that the bond had been revoked on the original charges. He stated he was working with the assistant state attorney for me to surrender and have the bond reinstated. I decided to leave my home and avoid Lake County until a resolution could be reached with the State. Again, I was homeless. Mr. Jusic worked with Assistant State Attorney Benjamin Patzz to resolve the bond issue. ASA Patzz agreed to reinstate my bond. I reported to the jail prepared to stay overnight. Thanks to Mr. Jusic‘s hard work I was there less than four hours. Once ASA Patzz saw the body cam footage of the arrest, he stated, “this is not a good look for us.” Indeed, it is not a good look to arrest a human being for asking to wash their hands after using the toilet. Mr. Jusic started with three felony and two misdemeanor cases. In the end, I did three months of pretrial intervention, paid a paltry fine/court costs, and ended up with the charge dismissed for resisting arrest without violence and Nolle Prosequi on the remaining four misdemeanor counts. I HIGHLY recommend Admir Jusic for any criminal case. He will work tirelessly and like a rabid junkyard pit bull to get the State to cooperate. I’ve never encountered a lawyer as dedicated as Mr. Jusic. I believe all other criminal defense lawyers should take lessons from Mr. Jusic in how to vigorously represent a client.
