Do not use

I went to The Law Offices of Kenneth Goldman hoping to retain Mr. Goldman but instead got his associate, Mrs. Spiropoulos for a child custody battle. Things started off fine and she convinced me to hire a custody investigator by the name of Nancy Kirkoff saying that she was the only one she trusted t...o do a thorough job. Long story short, this CI was the worst thing that happened to my case. She did not investigate anything and instead just wrote up 60 pages of biased opinion not based on any evidence. I literally handed everything to this CI on a silver plater and she did nothing with it. Mrs. Spiropoulos claimed she had never seen such a biased report and that our best bet would be to settle. Later she claimed she never said that and that she would need more money to fight it and show all our proof. The only thing that saved my bacon was that I had recorded the entire CI interview which of course I had to pay more money to get transcribed to use as evidence. After spending roughly $15,000, 9 months, and never seeing a court room I tried to negotiate with my child's mom outside of court and asked Mrs. Spiropoulos to hold off on anymore case work because I might be able to settle out of court. After 2 months of negotiating, Mrs. Spiropoulos calls me up to tell me that I'm wasting her time and she's dropping me as a client. She told me that I could either come sign the release form or we could go before the judge and she would bill me for her time... Needless to say I signed the form. Now I was without a lawyer, in debt $15,000, and worse off than when I started almost a year before. I cannot stress enough, STAY AWAY.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
