Chelsea Ray Riekkola

I joined Foley & Pearson, P.C. in September of 2014 and became a shareholder in 2020. My practice emphasizes estate and business planning, probate, wills, and trust administration.

While I completed my post-secondary education out of state, I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I attended Dimond High School, where I graduated in 2006. I went on to compete as a Division I diver at Missouri State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in marketing. I received my J.D. from the University of Oregon, were I focused my studies on estate planning and probate law. During that time I also wrote and published an article for the American Bar Association Journal of Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law on handling digital assets after death.

In the fall of 2013 I began my clerkship for Anchorage Superior Court Judge, Patrick McKay. I became involved in a number of local organizations, including the Young Lawyers Section of the Anchorage Bar Association, where I served as Vice President in 2013, and President in 2014.

I feel it is important to be an active and involved member of my professional community. I am a the Co-Chair of the Executive Committee the Estate Planning & Probate Section of the Alaska Bar Association, a member of the Anchorage Chapter of the Estate Planning Council, the former Treasurer of the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers, a member of the Anchorage Library Foundation Board of Trustees, and a member of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, WealthCounsel, and YWCA of Alaska.
