Attorney Steve Wells is a criminal defense lawyer with 30 years of experience in practicing criminal defense. After Wells graduated from the California Western School of Law, he started a criminal defense practice in Nashville, Tennessee. Attorney Wells practiced in Tennessee for several years, and then moved his practice to Alaska, where he always wanted to serve as a criminal defense attorney. In 2004, Attorney Wells joined the Office of Public Advocacy, where he traveled throughout Alaska defending clients facing criminal charges. Some of the clients he defended were being charged for crimes such as homicide, robbery, kidnapping, sex crimes, and first-degree assault cases. Attorney Wells is passionate about criminal defense and believes that it is important to protect the rights and freedoms of every one of his clients. Among Attorney Wells’ many accomplishments, he is the founding President of the Alaska Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (AACDL), he is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), and he is also a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Presenter Nationwide.
