Ryan is a lifelong Alaskan. He graduated magna cum laude from American University in Washington D.C. with a degree in finance. While in D.C., Ryan also worked on the staff of U.S. Senator Ted Stevens. Ryan attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to joining the Department of Revenue, Ryan worked in the Alaska Department of Natural Resources and was in private practice in Anchorage for 10 years.
