I called at ~10:00 am on 2/10/25 to ask for legal options for a DV case and the girl eating her sandwich who answered their phone interrupted me 2 mins into talking to tell me she had to take a call from another client. I asked what were doing about my situation. She clearly wanted to pass me off a...nd not do her job. After all: sandwich. She took a very long pause and reluctantly agreed to put me on hold and come back. She comes back and I can just tell by her tone and attitude this girl couldn't care less what I have to say and I'm wasting her time, in her mind. She doesn't even know what's going on and what I need help with. So I explain to her that I can tell they are money attorneys who don't want to talk to me, and I ask for a referral to another DV attorney. (I only needed 2 more mins to explain my situation, but 4 mins was too long! After all, sandwich time!) So she told me the best DV attorney in the TCs, according to the best family law practice, who I know is very good, I confirmed it, said this clown is the best DV attorney here. Go outside the TCs folks. If this is the best. Search elsewhere. This is the worst I've ever been treated by an attorney's office. Which I've noticed is a trend in DV offices in the TCs. I guess only certainly specialties of law harbor all the scumbags who lack empathy.

I had literally 2-3 days to get an attorney and had to hire the first one who answered the phone sadly. I hired Tyler Ashby for a protection order and he did a terrible job. He's very new/very green and doesn't know how to get his bearings, so the other side just obliterated him. It was painful to ...watch. He never did the things I asked him to do - like ask for 1 year. He didn't put things into my statement that I asked him to do. In addition, everything was misspelled horribly in legal documents - even my name - A very bad look when presenting legal materials. But it gets worse. The worst part of it is that as soon as the hearing was over, he completely abandoned me (maybe out of shame?) even though the case wasn't even over yet. He would take 5 minutes to get a a name for me. Who does this? What a complete & utter waste of money. Now I have to hire a "REAL" attorney to undue the mess that was made by him. Unbelievable.
