Biography
I am a criminal defense lawyer with a nationwide practice specializing in representing people with mental disabilities. (Although I am based in Spokane, I do not practice in Washington State.) I am the co-chair of the National Center for Criminal Justice and Disability. I am the editor of Representing People with Mental Disabilities: A Practical Guide for Criminal Defense Lawyers, published by the American Bar Association in 2018, and I am editing a similar work on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
