Jennifer Leigh Bechtold

Jennifer L. Bechtold is the founding principal at Cardinal North, PLLC. Originally from Idaho, Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she majored in Government and International Studies and minored in Spanish. Jennifer then earned her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University in Spokane. Prior to starting at Cardinal North, PLLC February 1, 2024, Jennifer was an associate at the Spokane branch of G. Briceno Law Firm, an associate at GLP Attorneys in Spokane, WA, and she practiced law in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jennifer first considered a legal career when she visited the US Senate as part of a national youth leadership conference. Jennifer felt empowered hearing the sound of her heels echoing down the halls and knew she wanted to hear that sound every day. After becoming interested in political science and civics as an undergraduate, she decided to become a lawyer.

While in Arizona, Jennifer worked closely with a personal injury attorney and learned how to develop a case from open to close. She enjoyed being able to tell her clients’ stories and advocate for them. Jennifer has grown to become a fearless litigator during her career and enjoys arguing the law in both motion writing and in court.

Jennifer is an active member of both the Arizona State Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association. Jennifer was selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 plaintiffs lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers, she was recognized as Lawyer of Distinction, for excellence in insurance law, and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. She serves as a Washington State Association for Justice Spokane Roundtable Chair, and is an Eagle Member of the Washington State Association for Justice. When she’s not working, Jennifer enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and her dog, Dixie.
