On a Monday morning I was notified that I had court the next day facing a temporary restraining order on me to fully restrict my parenting rights. With such short notice I could not not get a lawyer to defend my case so i defended myself and lost. My child’s mother was granted the temporary order and... a hearing date was set for one week later. I started to call family law attorneys in Spokane so I could hire an attorney to defend me. As I explained the case to one lawyer she told me bluntly that she would not take the case because I will lose. Other attorneys told me they did not have time. Starting to panic and feeling extremely confused as to why nobody would take my case, my friend referred me to Morgan Maxey and told me to call him immediately. I did, and he answered and agreed to take the case on the spot. He and his assistant Jeannie did an amazing job building our case and the temporary restraining order was removed. Next step they were trying to force me to undergo a mental evaluation and reduce my time with my son from every weekend to supervised visits one day every other week. Well with Morgan as my attorney we were able to not only avoid all of that, but to get a new parenting plan established that increased my time with my son and gave me other key stipulations that I had asked for. So the case is closed and I now have more time with my son than I had before all of this. Simply a home run! I would recommend Morgan and his assistant Jeannie to anybody out there who NEEDS a GREAT TEAM in their corner. They were a pleasure to work with, always quick with communication, comforting, and reliable. I am very thankful that I ended up with Morgan as my council.
