Knowledgeable and Trustworthy

When I first came to Atty Kevin O’Rourke’s office, I was apprehensive about my journey through the Bankruptcy process. Mr. O’Rourke proficiently explained what needed steps would be taken throughout my Bankruptcy. He is quite knowledgeable on all aspects of the Bankruptcy court procedures. The bo...ttom-line for me is: Atty O’Rourke is trustworthy and is there for his clients. On a side note: Atty O’Rourke’s staff is quite helpful.

If you need him, you can't afford him

I hired Mr. O'Rourke for a simple consumer bankruptcy. He is professional, diligent, and seems knowledgeable. I have no issue with the services received. However, his billing practices are egregious. He told me that the retainer I paid would be sufficient to complete the work, barring any excep...tional issues. There were no exceptional issues. We appeared at the first meeting of creditors, and no creditors came forward. No one filed an objection to discharge. I reaffirmed the first mortgage on my house. The bank sent form documents which we signed, without changes. The discharge was granted. The question is, why did the bill total over $2000 more than the original estimate and retainer. I still don't know. I don't know why it took over $1500 to review a form document and make no changes. I don't know why I was charged for asking about the bill. I don't see how it is possible for him to have spent the time he claims he spent on the file. If you want to spend $5000 for a chapter 7 bankruptcy, hire Mr. O'Rourke. If you are going bankruptcy because you actually are broke, look elsewhere.
