This attorney is completely unreliable, failing to communicate, showing zero regard for clients.

Working with John Perry’s office was a nightmare. He is incredibly slow to respond, callous, and dismissive. I called four different listed phone numbers to deliver a motion to modify a no-contact order; all were disconnected. Finally I found a physical address to drop it off and I confirmed with the... woman at the front desk that Mr. Perry accepted service/ mail there in which she confirmed he did and would put it in his box. I followed up with a phone call the following day to confirm he had received it and had to leave a message. The receptionist called days later just to tell me I delivered it to the wrong location, yet refused to give me the "correct address" and demanded I email it. They showed zero concern when their incarcerated client was about to lose his truck to an impound auction, flatly stating, "It is not our job... our plates are too full." "Hire him a civil attorney." What's even more concerning, Mr. Perry lied to his client, claiming his hearing was for a bail reduction when it was actually for a weapons surrender. He then didn't even show up for it. If you want an attorney who cares about your freedom, property, and future, look elsewhere. 1/5 stars.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
