Biography
Jason Whiteley's practice is focused on advising closely-held businesses in a variety of corporate and transactional matters and on representing clients in commercial transactions (usually with a technology dimension). His work with closely-held companies includes business formation planning, private financings, general corporate compliance, and executing the purchase or sale of a business. He also represent clients in commercial transactions such as software and patent licensing agreements, development agreements, OEM and distribution agreements, supply agreements and agreements for software implementation services. He has represented clients in transactions with some of the largest utilities in North America and with IBM, Accenture, Cisco Systems, Inc., Cap Gemini, and Certicom, a subsidiary of Research in Motion.
Prior to re-joining Witherspoon Kelley, he was Assistant General Counsel at Itron, Inc. (NASD: ITRI), where he was responsible for the Legal Department that supported Itron's North American operating segment.
