Since 1997 he has limited his practice to the defense of serious, complex, or unusual felony and federal criminal cases including narcotics trafficking, sex trafficking, Lacey Act and Marine Mammal Protection Act violations, child pornography, white-collar crimes, and computer crimes.
Darrel J. Gardner has defended against charges of murder, manslaughter, rape, kidnapping, child sexual abuse, assault, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, conspiracy, and other felony crimes. He has defended cases in Anchorage, Palmer, Kenai, Kodiak, Dillingham, St. Paul, Naknek, Seward, King Salmon, Sitka, Petersburg, Ketchikan, Nome, Kotzebue, Bethel, Fairbanks, and Juneau.
Darrel J. Gardner is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Alaska and the Federal District Court for the District of Alaska. He is a founding Director and the 2014 President of the Alaska Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; an elected member of the Board of Governors of the Alaska Bar Association; and, the current President of the Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
