This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
Jon’s comment: “I inadvertently failed to pay my Oregon State Bar membership dues in 2003. As a result, and without my realizing it, my bar membership became inactive. As soon as I discovered this I paid my bar dues and was reinstated to active status. However, I was disciplined by the Oregon State Bar for practicing law during the time that my bar membership was not active.”

I first worked with Mr. Fritzler some years ago when I contacted the law firm he was then affiliated with for assistance with elderly family members. I lived out of state from the family members and as events unfolded, we discovered the three of them had been the subject of quite serious elder abuse at the hands of an unscrupulous "family friend". Through involved and extensive monetary and asset discovery and ensuing court cases involving Guardianships and Conservatorships, Mr. Fritzler held a steady and determined course of action. His knowledge of the law and attention to detail was (and is) amazing. I was always comfortable with and understood his advice. Several years have passed and I recently had need to contact Mr. Fritzler again, now with his own law practice, for assistance with the one surviving family member. It has been a somewhat convoluted matter and Mr. Fritzler has guided me with the same sound advice and practice. I find Mr. Fritzler to be an outstanding attorney and think very highly of him. I would not hesitate to recommend his services, especially in the area of Elder Law.

Was gracious and generous with his time to prepare a Will & a Durable Power of Attorney for me, for free, through services offered by the Neighborhood House. He was a very nice & at the same time, professional in every way and got the papers ready for my signature in a very short time. In short, I'd definitely use him again, but I'm moving to San Diego next week, which I mentioned when we met over my business. I'd appreciate a recommendation to have the documents reviewed in San Diego to make sure they conform to California standards and practices.
