I can't even rightfully say I hired him because he was appointed to me through the northwest justice project which helps low income individuals seek legal help in situations such as eviction for free. So that alone should show you the character of this lawyer that he volunteers his time in this way a...nd while I believe he receives some pay for his time, he could obviously make more working solely for himself and his benefit. I don't have a ton of experience with lawyers but I can tell you even though he was doing this for pennies if not for free he spent more time discussing and explaining the legal aspects of as well as taking the time to write a statement on my behalf ensuring that I was heard and represented in my case. I can't imagine wanting more from an attorney other than him giving me knowledge, time , and a voice in my case. After that it's up to the judge. I wish I could afford to pay him a proper salary for this case because he difinately deserved it. I've gotten less one on one time with attorneys in the past who were paid in full for their time.
