G Alex Styve

I hired Styve in 2011, when I went in for my first consultation she made me feel comfortable and someone I could trust with my money. I was in the middle of a really bad divorce and custody battle and needed someone that would reprent me and have my back. Well that was not the case at all, she didn't... do anytyhing for my case except for taking my money (close to $6,000) She always forgot important details and next time I reminded her she acted surprised and pretended I never told her anything. She was very forgetful, was never prepared, didn't listen to me, was always unavailable when I tried calling her and took for ever to reply to my e-mail messages. Please run away and save your money, she will do absolutely nothing for you!! They were very good at reminding me how much more money was due. To be honest I'm not exaclty sure why she was always so behind and never prepared, not sure if she took on too many clients. Basically all she did for me was refer me to Family Court & kept my money, then I I also had to pay them more money. I ended up settling with my ex-husband and he kept all the money from our investment accounts,I kept all the debts but he agreed I should have full custody of kids!!

Despite her many years of practicing law, Ms. Styve is very unknowledgeable and incompetent. She was rude and talked down to me every time I spoke with her. She botched my case even though it was easy. I'm confident that a rookie attorney could have handled the situation better than her. She went int...o hearings completely unprepared. She misrepresented me in court and then denied doing it even though there were witnesses to it. She overcharged me and charged me for services that she never performed. She didn't listen to anything I ever tried to tell her and didn't keep me informed of the status of my case. Do yourself a favor and don't hire Ms. Styve. It will be a nightmare of an experience. I currently have to hire a new attorney and start all over again because of the poor job that Ms. Styve did as my attorney. Ms. Styve was the one person that was supposed to be on my side. I was paying her to be on my side and she treated me terribly!

Alex Styve let me down in every way possible. Promised to fight for me, and did nothing. I sat in court watching the other sides lawyer lie, yell, and argue with the judge. Alex Styve did and said nothing, the entire time. When I asked her about this she guaranteed me the reason she didn't have to s...ay anything was because she knew the judge so well and the jurisdiction for me. In the end she didn't! Her would never call or keep me up to date. Her office wouldn't follow up and would wait for me to do my own investigating and wouldn't even use the evidence I found. I'd talk to her assistant and was charged for talking to Styve directly. Don't hire this Lawyer for a child custody case.

OK SO IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET A RETURN CALL FROM HER (SENT HER AN E-MAIL AND TOOK A WEEK TO RESPOND BACK)SHE IS VERY FOREGETFUL (TOLD HER SOMETHING 3 TIMES AND SHE ACTED SURPRISED EACH TIME I TOLD HER). BIT OF AN AIRHEAD. USED PICTURES FOR SOMETHING OTHER THEN WHAT I ASKED HER TOO. WHEN IN THE COURT ...ROOM SHE WAS SO UNPREPARED,STUTTERED, KEPT HER HEAD DOWN, WAS NOT QUICK TO RESPOND TO THE OTHER ATTORNEYS STATEMENTS (WAS WRESTLING AROUND WITH HER PAPERS TRYING TO HURRY AND FIND SOMETHING TO SAY. . IT WAS AS IF SHE STUDIED THE CASE RIGHT BEFORE I WENT IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE. THANK GOODNESS THE JUDGE HAD SOME COMMON SENSE...
