Kevin Nelson is an experienced attorney with a background in real estate law, criminal law, firearms law, traffic law, municipal/government law, animal law, and civil litigation. Kevin brings experience from both private and government practice. Although Kevin understands that litigation may not always be the best answer, with experience in numerous criminal and civil trials, Kevin is well suited to represent his clients’ interests both in and out of the courtroom. In addition to trial work, Kevin has experience representing clients in administrative hearings, mediation, arbitration, and in the court of appeals. He believes in candid and open communication with his clients in order to pursue his client’s objectives and desired outcomes in an efficient and practical way.
Kevin is a native of Lewis County. Following graduation from high school, Kevin attended Centralia Community College, where he received numerous academic awards including selection to the National Dean’s List for Academic Achievement, Admittance to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for Academic Achievement, and inclusion on the Centralia College President’s List in recognition of superior scholarship. After graduating from Centralia Community College, Kevin attended St. Martin’s University, where he studied business and continued his academic excellence, graduating with honors. Following Kevin’s undergraduate degree, he attended Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate with honors.
Kevin is actively involved in the community. He has been a Board Member of the Centralia Christian School and served on the Lewis County Dangerous Animal Designations Board and was recently the Vice President of the Lewis County Bar Association.
Having been raised in Lewis County and knowing all that the community has to offer, Kevin and his family have chosen to reside in Lewis County.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, reading, streaming television shows, and vacationing in their travel trailer.
