JENNIFER PEARSON PLLC │attorney at law │ Experienced • Compassionate • Reliable
I am Jennifer Ann Pearson, Attorney at Law. I have been practicing law in the state of Washington since 1997; the primary focus of my law practice for over 20 years is Family Law.
As a Family Law attorney, my practice and experience include Divorce Litigation, Legal Separation, Child Custody, Child Support, Prenuptial, Postnuptial and Cohabitation Agreements, Child Dependency, Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Fathers' Rights, Modifications of Child Custody Orders and Parenting Plans, Non-Parental Custody, Paternity, Relocation Issues, Restraining Orders, and Community and Separate Property.Additionally, I have litigation and transactional experience in Real Estate, Landlord-Tenant, and other Civil Litigation matters.
I am a native of the state of Iowa. I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa and law degree from Creighton University. I am a member in good standing of the Iowa State Bar Association in addition to the Washington State Bar Association.
My typical first contact with a new client is via an initial consultation; that is a meeting of up to one (1) hour in duration and I offer the time at a discount from my normal hourly rate. (My normal hourly rate is $275.00 per hour; I charge $200.00 for the initial consultation.) The basic purpose of your initial consultation is for you to ask questions about my practice and the issue(s) that bring you to seek legal counsel and for me to understand your concerns and desires. Basic goals for the representation of your interests will be explored and I will answer questions to the extent I am able based on the information you provide during the meeting.
To help me to understand your needs, I suggest that you bring to the initial consultation copies of any recent court papers or other documents that you believe are relevant to your matter. However, do not worry if you are unable to gather these documents prior to the meeting. You can always send copies to me later. (Remember, you should always keep your original documents in a safe place.)
At the time you schedule a consultation, please provide us with the name of the opposing party so that we can check for any conflicts of interest.
I look forward to serving you.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Ann Pearson

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
Jennifer has earned a reputation for practicing family law with compassion for her clients, integrity, and meticulous attention to the quality of her work. Knowing that she had this reputation, and having had several cases with her that confirmed that reputation, I felt fortunate when an opportunity presented itself for her to office share with me several years ago. Now, I see her compassion, integrity and dedication at work every day. I have also learned that she researches the new or challenging legal issues in her cases extensively, is a patient listener (a quality often lacking even among good attorneys) and is able, after listening, to give tough advice. I would not hesitate to refer any family law matter to her.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I endorse this lawyer. Jennifer is a great attorney who I recommend and would not hesitate to send a client to if needed. She is calm, reasonable, kind, and always professional. She has the social skills to avoid unnecessary problems, but the tenacity to follow through when needed.
