I retained Miryana and she worked on my case for 1 and a half years. I had an attorney for a short time before her, and I have a new one after her. Miryana helped turn my case around after my first attorney made a serious error in my case that ended up costing me time with my kids. I told Miryana I w...asn't concerned about money I needed to do anything I could to get more than two meesly weekends a month with my kids. She and her team did an amazing job right out of the gate. We won several "battles" but ended up loosing in the end. Upon reflection and going back over emails, myself and my new attorney feel that she just wanted to be done with my case. When the final trial came my ex wife threw out some crazy allegations that later were proved by the authorities to be false. During trial my ex was not represented by an attorney and she had multiple major issues with her filings and wasn't following the courts rules. Miryana and I agreed this shouldn't but difficult for me to get half time visitation with my kiddos. During trial I could tell Miryana had more or less just given up on me and further communication after the trial was difficult as I was working out of the state, but my emails rarely got answered until the window to do anything about the trial had closed. To add insult to injury a staff member in her office hounded me about paying off my retainer balance, and he was unprofessional on the phone with me. Miryana had emailed me offering a discount if I paid off my balance by the end of that month. It was the 3rd or 4th when I got that email, and the secretary called me that next week demanding payment. I told him I would have it taken care of by the end of the month as planned and requested by Miryana. He continued to hound me and even told me on the phone he planned to continue hounding me till it was paid. I have had no history of late payments with them mind you. I also ended up paying on time for the last payment as well. I was insulted at this because he and I had been friendly with each other for 1.5 years whenever we had to communicate before. Clearly they just wanted to be done with my case and wanted to wash their hands of me. I felt I was easy to work with and wasn't rude or argumentative with them. Miryana is very knowledgeable with the law and seems passionate about her clients. But in hindsight I wish I had chosen someone who would've stuck it out in the end without all the drama, it just wasn't worth the drama. My decision to go with Miryana ended up costing me dearly as now I only see my kids 6.5 days a month. My current attorney agrees this is going to be difficult to recover from and cost me tens of thousands more. Furthermore, the parenting plan Miryana put in place doesn't list halloween on it, nor does it list the kids birthdays. My childrens mother will do everything in her power to withhold the children from me and after trying to take my kids trick or treating I have been told I will "never" get them for halloween because it isn't on the parenting plan. I also suspect I won't get them for their birthdays if they land on weekends that are not mine. Now I will take complete ownership of this because I had to sign off on the parenting plan. I was firefighting in the woods when I had to approve this if I remember correctly and I was doing it from my phone. Still I would've thought she had put that in there, but it wasn't. I cannot recommend Miryana or her firm for high conflict cases, cases requiring attention to detail or cases expected to draw on for a long period of time.
