Karen Lee Unger

So, back in 2020, I found out through my 7-year-old daughter that she had been molested by her 50-year-old next-door-neighbor, whom her father has had let her be babysat by said neighbor since we split up. Her father never said a word to me about it for three months. I hired Karen Unger for a $300...0 retainer to help me sort stuff out with my daughter's father, since in my opinion, he had been extremely neglectful in his duty to tell me, her mother, let alone the police. Karen filed the documents she had deemed necessary for our case. The judge declined them, Karen emailed me as such, and I asked her (through the same email) what steps she would recommend going forward. She never responded. I really don't feel like a few pieces of paperwork turned in to the court should cost $3000. Like, I could have done that for free for myself. I feel not only cheated financially, but cheated from the perspective of my (at the time) 7-year-old child who had things done to her that no one, especially a *CHILD* should ever experience. She was a terrible lawyer to me and my daughter, and as much as I admired her at first for her drive, I would never hire another lawyer literally ever again, because of this and a quite a few other experiences.
