Anna Pauline Goettl

Anna obtained her B.S. from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota and her J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina. She attended the Seattle University School of Law for one semester as a visiting student. As an undergraduate, Anna interned with WATCH, a court-monitoring non-profit based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. While in law school, Anna had the opportunity to clerk with Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc. and work as a Research Assistant for Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law, Jim Klein. During her last year in law school, Anna’s article, “Emptying Classrooms to Fill Detention Centers: The Disappointing Discipline Standards Under IDEA,” was selected for publication with the Federal Courts Law Review at the Charleston School of Law. In Seattle, Anna participated in the Youth Advocacy Clinic and had the honor of working on a clemency case with several other students. Before transitioning into her position as an Associate Attorney, Anna worked as an ABA therapist for children on the Autism Spectrum. Through this work, Anna quickly realized there is a large need for advocates for children with disabilities, and she has been passionate about this field of law ever since. Anna’s practice mainly focuses on special education law, family law, and elder law.
