Because I could not afford to hire another attorney, I had to go ahead and sign, despite misgivings I had on the wording of the agreement. Ten years later and I am still paying for that mistake. Upon contact...ing him to rectify the situation, I received a curt letter saying "I no longer handle divorce cases." No advice, no recommendations, no referrals. Because of his demand, I have overpaid my child support to the amount of $12,000.00 which I stand little chance of getting back. I have lived a life of poverty because of his words.
