I hated shopping for an attorney. But I'd had an attorney that wasn't looking out for my interests, so I hired Shane after I fired the first. He told me he had conditions for taking the case and when we agreed they could be met I hired him. He kept me informed about the progress of the case. Mo...st importantly it was a divorce which I didn't want to go to trial over. He reached out to my husband's attorney and they agreed to a second mediation. We met often enough for him to understand the case and to develope a strategy for the mediation and advised on a mediator that knew what he was doing. He kept me informed about how he thought the courts would rule and kept me straight about the difference between the information that could be use at trial versus in mediation. He listened to my ideas for a settlement and suggested his own. It was a very satisfying collaborative effort and I am pleased to say I am very happy with the outcome of the mediation. I am the type of person who wants all the information I can get before I go into a meeting, trial, negotiation, etc and Shane delivered the facts. He does not bully like some lawyers and he is very professional, though not stuffy.
