John Russel Shultz

John R. Shultz has been practicing law for 33 years. John has an extensive practice in personal injury, auto accidents, insurance claims, construction law, corporate and business law, governmental and municipal law, family law, insurance law, real estate and land use law, and wills and probate.

John graduated from the Gonzaga University School of Law in 1982, where he served on the Gonzaga Law Review. Prior to law school John served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 to 1972, and was in Vietnam from 1972 to 1973. He attended Western Washington University from 1973 to 1974, University of California at Berkeley in 1975, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington in 1977, where he received his undergraduate degree in Environmental Design and Architecture. John practiced in architecture while completing his education.

After law school Mr. Shultz was employed by Winston & Cashett, Lawyers in Spokane, Washington from 1979-1982; Dolack, Hansler, Hulscher & Barline in Tacoma, Washington from 1982-1983; was Staff Attorney for the U.S. Veterans Administration in Seattle, Washington from 1983; Bannister, Bruhn & Clark, in Mount Vernon, Washington from 1984-1987; Law Offices of John R. Shultz in Mount Vernon, Washington from 1987-1999; Law Office of John R. Shultz in Burlington, Washington from 1999-2010; and Shultz Law Offices in Burlington from 2010-present. Mr. Shultz has resided in Mount Vernon since 1983.
