I had a terrible experience with this attorney
I have never written a bad review about anyone in my life, but have to tell others to avoid having Sharon as your public defender if at all possible. I felt she was incompetent in handling my case. I truly regret not borrowing money to hire a private attorney so I could have received good or at leas...
I wish I were certain about who this reviewer is so that I could address any specific concerns. I do serve my community in the role of public defender in certain situations, and provide every single client, whether private paying or indigent, with over 25 years of experience and legal knowledge. I approach every case and every client relationship with a priority on client service, but sometimes clients come into an attorney relationship assuming that I am the enemy before even meeting me, and that attitude is difficult to overcome and no matter what happens, this client is not likely to be satisfied. Like any attorney, I am stuck with the facts that would be admitted at trial, and it is my duty to inform my clients of the good, bad, and ugly about the case. Oftentimes clients do not want to hear what I must say, and sometimes we have frustrating conversations. In over 25 years, I've certainly had frustrating conversations before, and even if a client and I did have frustrating conversations, my frustrations have never, in any way, affected the outcome of any case or my representation of any client,. All I can do is continue to repeat the facts and the law to the client and ensure that she understands the risks and makes the best choice for herself. I NEVER tell clients what to do in a case, and I am a trial attorney always ready, willing, and able to go to trial. I am certainly not going to throw away a 25 year career by becoming unprofessional or incompetent at this point. I urge readers to give this review little to no credibility, as the person does not provide specifics about the case and does not even provide a name. This person's name, for instance, would allow the curious reader to learn for himself the details of this case and determine whether the outcome - chosen completely by the client and NOT me - was a good one.
"Sharon is aggressive and diligent, while at the same time a most genial attorney. A consummate professional, she is knowledgeable about the law as well as procedure, and has extensive felony and misdemeanor experience. If Sharon is willing to take your case, then you know you are in good hands when facing aggressive prosecutors."
"Sharon is one of my go-to references for all things criminal law - I refer to her with confidence and I have seen first-hand the personal care and attention she gives to all of her cases."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Sharon for a number of years and I find her to be extremely ethical and effective in her handling of serious criminal cases. Sharon has a great work ethic and truly cares about her clients. Her reputation within the local legal community is that she is serious, aggressive and highly competent."
