I took on Kathryn as my Lawyer during a time that I was doubtful and all around broken by the current custody situation with my daughter. I felt I had no rights, and I felt as tho It was never going to get better. Kathryn helped me realize my potential, and my rights as a Mother. She was not only a b...right light in my eyes, but the Commissioners had responded and communicated with her as not only a Respected Lawyer but also a Strong presence in the court room. Another quality I respected was how well she wrote the documents, obviously knowing exactly what to say, and how to bring it across. She took my deliberation and sat with me, more than once, and helped write it out in a way that would be received more sophisticated. (being that when I am emotional I don't seem to write in an effective manor :) ) Kathryn was able to Not only "hold my hand" through this difficult time, but she kept her promise and helped me walk away with the desired outcome we had been seeking from the beginning. More time with my Daughter. I really felt like I mattered, and that my case wasn't just another case to her. I felt as tho she truly cared, and took the time to ensure that my questions were answered, the confusion I had with the Verbiage was clear in the end, and when she promised to do her very best to help me achieve my, goal, she not only helped this happen she went above and beyond for me and my family. First time I hired her it went okay, but she became ill and was not available to clients, I had to phone, email, and write to get her to withdraw, but it was too late to pursue my issue. I forgave her and I made an appointment this fall. Without letting me know, she cancelled the appointment and pas...sed off our phone number to a "colleague" with ZERO experience with our situation, Jeff Jared, a criminal trial attorney, not a family law specialist, as recommended by the State Bar for our situation. This turned out badly, resulting in a complaint to the State Bar. Kathryn has not responded to our concerns, or taken resposibility for her referral, or helped resolve it. We are very disappointed.
