Erin Crisman Glass is an estate planning, elder law and adoption attorney. Erin designs estate plans for high net worth individuals as well as more modest estates, believing every person deserves to have an estate plan that is shaped by their own set of unique circumstances, whatever those may be. Erin is especially dedicated to ensuring that her client’s end of life wishes are thoughtfully considered and documented so that their values can be honored at the end of life. Additionally, Erin prepares special needs trusts to assist families as they navigate the often complex legal and financial issues that are raised when a loved one has a cognitive or physical impairment. Erin advises clients on the myriad of issues encountered regarding access to public benefits, particularly long-term care Medicaid and veterans’ benefits planning. Many times, these issues require the appointment of a guardian, as well as trust creation and administration. Erin is a frequent speaker on these and other issues.
In addition to estate planning, Erin has a passion for her adoption practice, which she took over from attorney Larry Daugert (now retired). Erin is recognized not only for her knowledge and legal advocacy, but for being a warm and personable attorney that enjoys helping others as they endeavor to grow their families through private adoption, foster-adoption, or reproductive technology. Erin’s children are the light of her life, so she understands the complexity of issues involved in becoming a parent and the need for compassion while working with clients on adoption-related issues. In adoption matters, Erin represents adoptive parents and birth parents. In Assisted Reproductive Technology matters, Erin represents Intended Parents, Donors and Surrogates with the arranging, drafting and review of contracts to ensure that the needs and goals of the parties are met.
Before joining the firm, Erin completed a two-year judicial clerkship in Seattle with Washington State Court of Appeals Judge Mary Kay Becker. She also served as a Goldmark fellow for the Legal Foundation of Washington and a Laurel Rubin Farm Worker fellow for Columbia Legal Services.
Erin graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law where she served as editor-in-chief of the Seattle Journal for Social Justice.
Prior to law school Erin was a high school teacher and a social worker. She was also a whitewater guide in Montana and a backcountry wilderness instructor for teenagers in southern Utah.

"I wholeheartedly endorse Mrs. Crisman Glass for all adoption issues. We worked together on a very complicated foster, third party placement and pending adoption matter. Her experience, wisdom, compassion and patience throughout the process greatly served the best interests of the child and ultimately the adoptive family."
