Umar Ibrahim Gebril

Umar grew up in a small town in Western Washington and was drawn to the law from an early age. He began a banking career fresh out of high school, and completed college while working full time and earning a bachelor’s degree in Law & Justice from Central Washington University. After graduating from Central, Umar continued to feel the pull of law and decided to go to law school.

Umar continued working full time and started a new mortgage business while attending law school at Seattle University School of Law, completing and earning his Juris Doctor. His mortgage business quickly found success (placing Umar in the top 20 loan officers nationally), before he eventually decided to sell the business - thereby allowing him to practice law full time.

Umar says, “Few things are more noble than the practice of law. Nothing I’ve done professionally gives me more personal satisfaction and fulfillment than being able to represent those in need - particularly those who have been harmed or treated unfairly by another. It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of bringing a client closure and a measure of justice.”
