Gavin W. Skok

I love what I do and it shows in my work. I am a commercial litigation lawyer in Fox Rothschild's Seattle office. I pride myself on excelling at my work, knowing my clients, and being more to them. My practice emphasizes class action defense, unique or challenging commercial disputes, and privacy issues. I have represented clients from large Fortune 100 companies to local, family-owned businesses and sole proprietorships. Regardless of the size or stakes, I constantly push myself to bring my all to every matter. 

I represent clients in federal court, state court, and arbitrations. I’ve enthusiastically represented them in a variety of cases, from breach of contract claims to data breach actions, to securities fraud lawsuits and arbitrations. I’ve prosecuted and defended trade secrets, customer theft, and business interference cases, earnout and royalty litigation, and other disputes arising out of the purchase and sale of businesses or products. I regularly defend clients in consumer and privacy-related class action cases. I enjoy the unique and challenging cases I’ve been privileged to handle, such as recent arbitrations involving beer distribution rights and Brazilian real estate franchising, the bench trial of a race car sponsorship case, and the watershed Ninth Circuit data breach case of Krottner v. Starbucks. I’ve taken multiple cases to trial or arbitration and am always ready to do so. I regularly volunteer pro bono time to a local public defender agency and the ACLU. I frequently write and speak at CLEs about the areas I work in, including privacy, data security, class action issues, and attorney-client privilege.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and am an avid wakesurfer and wakeboarder.
