I had Mr Raines for a judge 3 times the latter 2 just a plain pain in the butt...Despite that I have a fond memory of these cases...In the last case I had before him I demanded the case be thrown out it was over a social security claim the employer had against - the employer was a motor carrier thus... had perpetrated a crime...the judge looked the other way and I think he was oblivious to the whole issue. He advised me this was WA law not federal to which I stated are you serious well ok we can play that way. He was advised that WA state law requires employer to verify ssa number plus in the motion filed I stated I got my W2 forms previous...As much as he hated he decided in my favor and told me the matter would catch up with me well it never did... He struck me as someone who got in over his head. Yes the bad guys got away and this judge will always occupy a fond memory for me. I wish him the best. He was unfair but I still won he gets a Good.
