Lembhard Goldstone Howell

I spoke with Mr. Howell over the phone about an incident of police misconduct. I informed him that an off duty police officer wrote a notarized statement for me against his fellow police officers. Mr. Howell expressed incredulity that a police officer would do that. Mr. Howell got real loud and excit...ed on the phone and insisted it cannot be true -- no way. (In fact the courageous and honorable officer, [name removed by Avvo staff], was subsequently harassed and fired by SPD) Mr. Howell refused to talk further with me on the phone. He demanded that I drive 25 miles to his office and show him the officer's statement. I did just that. However, no sooner had I entered his office than he angrily kicked me out. This inept dimwit grabbed officer [name removed by Avvo staff]'s affidavit, glanced at it and instantly declared Mr. [name removed by Avvo staff] NOT to be a police officer! Mr. Howell would not say how he reached his "conclusion." I offered Howell contact information for both officer [name removed by Avvo staff] and the notary who certified his statement. But Howell barked, "No! Get out of my office!" It would have been an easy task to call SPD and verify Mr. [name removed by Avvo staff]'s employment. I can only conclude that Mr. Howell is not too bright. Unfortunately, he is blinded by his own preconceptions. To jump to conclusions without even cursory investigation is unprofessional and utterly inconsiderate of peoples' time. This is not an auspicious indicator of good legal work.
