Peyton is a very competent and knowledgeable attorney. The only thing I would say regarding my outcome is that she works for Tacoma pro bono. The goal of their attorneys is not to win against a landlord, but to push the clients to settle with the landlord. I was 100% in the rights and the landlor...d acted in retaliation. Since it was retaliation there never ever should have been a "settlement"conversation". 18 new I would not settle especially not for a lous $4k we can move out in less than 20 days, but she did try to encourage me even stating that she has never seen any landlord offer that much money.
