Waste of time and money

Hired Wade to help me get custody of my kid. Waste of time and money! Talked up a good talk when he did his consultation, but when it came to the real thing, he totally choked on every front. Didn't get back to me no matter how many times I emailed or called. He does pro bono work and that's probably... what he's only good for. Thank goodness the court ruled in my favor, but that was because of my work and the help I got from my friend who's a paralegal. Wade charged all that money and didn't do anything he promised.

I'm sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, I don't know who "Don" is (or I would contact him directly) and perhaps you have the wrong attorney. If you are or were a client of mine, then I would suggest you to call my cell phone number (that all my clients are given) since you are correct in that I run the Kitsap pro bono program and I only take a few private cases. If you hired me for a "consultation" and that was all I promised to do for you because I am not accepting new cases and you were unhappy that I could not do more, then I apologize for any misunderstanding. For cases I do accept, I respond to voice messages and emails within 2 business days (and request another contact if this does not happen). I also charge much less than other attorneys by providing different levels of service (and thus cannot help everyone with what they request) . . . from an inexpensive consultation, to limited help as a person needs it, to only helping for one part of a case, to full representation. If you truly are a former client of mine - and this is not an anonymous attempt by a non-client to cause negative impressions - then I look forward to your communication to resolve any perceived problems.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
