Matthew and Sara are amazing!! By far the best team I have ever seen. After speaking with Matthew back in May 2017, I told him what I am looking for (child visitation and partial custody) and that I live in CA and my child lives in WA. He informed me that he has done several cases like mine before an...d said that my requests were reasonable and that the case should be pretty easy and straightforward. Oh my how we were wrong haha. My ex decided to fight us hard. But Matthew kept his word and fought (and continuing to fight) hard for my case. Everything that he said he would do, he has done. His assistant Sara has been amazing in keeping me updated with emails and phone calls. His rates are VERY reasonable and he is completely honest! I am very happy with Matthew and Sara. HIGHLY recommend them for any Family Court case.

Matthew did a great job helping me through a very difficult divorce. His advice is worth every penny and much more. Will keep you out of jail which can ruin you. I was married to someone living in another country who I didn't want or need to be married to anymore. (When your spouse unfriends you from facebook, that's a good sign your marriage isn't going well.) My experience with Mathhew and his wonderful bilingual legal assistant Maria Rodriguez was the b...est part of this unpleasant process. I needed a lawyer who could help me get divorced from someone who lives in a different country -- one where Spanish is the spoken language. Matthew explained to me what needed to be done, and then he efficiently did what needed to be done: He got permission to serve papers internationally and then mailed the papers to where they needed to go; when the legally required amount of time had passed, he filed for and secured my divorce; and he and his assistant kept me informed about what was happening, throughout the process). He was up front with me about what it would cost, he was true to his word, and he did exactly what he said he was going to do (and he did it quickly and correctly.) There were no shenanigans. He's professional, respectful, and trustworthy. He's an excellent attourney. I highly recommend him.

Highly disappointed with Mathew at Lawgena. Absolutely DO NOT recommend him! His good reviews must be fake or paid for. The staff is unprofessional and he has a high turnover of young women. He couldn’t get my name right, doesn’t use text reminders and as soon as he got the deposit he didn’t care abo...ut my case. I’d wait for days for him to reply to an email or voicemail. Mathew choked in court when the judge asked him a question, basically let my x get everything they asked for. He never even followed up with me afterwards.
