Julia Carroll Hunter

Julia Hunter joined the Law Offices of Carol L. Edward in May 2019. She became the principal attorney in May 2023. Julia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007 from Dickinson College and a Juris Doctor in 2014 from the University of San Diego School of Law.

From September 2014 until June 2018, Julia served as a Judicial Law Clerk and Attorney Advisor within the Executive Officer for Immigration Review at the Tacoma Immigration Court and the Seattle Immigration Court. From June 2018 until May 2019, Julia worked as an Associate Attorney with Beacon Immigration where she represented clients before the Seattle and Tacoma Immigration Courts as well as assisted clients with affirmative applications for citizenship, lawful permanent residency, nonimmigrant visas, and waivers before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Given Julia's background with the immigration courts, she specializes in removal defense.

During law school, Julia interned with several immigration law firms and participated in the Ninth Circuit Appellate Clinic. Before law school, Julia worked as a paralegal with Foley Hoag LLP in Washington D.C. in the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice, focusing on litigation before the International Court of Justice and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes. Julia is fluent in Spanish. Julia is a member of the California State Bar and Washington State Bar. Outside of work, Julia enjoys traveling, cooking, and enjoying the Pacific Northwest with her husband, two children, and dogs.
