I intended to write a review for Margaret months ago, but haven’t until now because I feel like there are not adequate words to fully express my gratitude for her work on my case or to capture how intelligent, tenacious, and adept she is at her profession. Margaret has been instrumental in navig...ating and obtaining a DVPO and resolution through mediation in a high conflict divorce. Margaret is a force to be reckoned with. She is constantly thinking a few steps ahead, meticulously detail oriented, straightforward, and practices with integrity. Margaret and her paralegal Myrian work together seamlessly and efficiently to take care of all of the details and make an already stressful and emotional process feel manageable. I appreciate that Margaret throughout the process continually reminded me of the long game and our original goals at the onset of this process. She did a great job realistically laying out options within the legal process including cost/time vs what benefit we could actually get. She helped me make decisions rationally and saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary motions. I would not have full custody, sole decision making, a detailed phased parenting plan, and the best outcome in a residential schedule without the exceptional level of representation she provided. Over the past almost 2 years navigating the family court system, I have come to highly respect and trust Margaret. She saw me. She saw through smoke and mirrors and empowered me to find my voice again and use it.

Margaret helped me with very complex post-divorce child custody issues which included a myriad of involved parties, state agencies etc. By "helped", I mean, she always took a measured evidence-driven position and she always prevailed. She is not the one who will cheer and encourage clients to get int...o a legal battle and she will courteously let you know when she disagrees with you: she will take only positions she can defend in court. If you are looking for someone who will vilify the other party, will encourage you to litigate and will follow client's whims, she is not for you. But if you want someone with a moral compass who will really defend you, who will tell you straight how things are, who will not overbill you for unnecessary work, who will achieve set out goals so that you will not regret your actions in 10 years, she is definitely someone you should seriously consider.

Margaret provided me with excellent representation overall, and did it in a way that truly represented me, my world view, and my interests - she carefully crafted an approach designed to tease apart the potential return on investment of the various approaches.
