Joshua Michael Reinertson

Joshua Reinertson is a seasoned attorney whose practice focuses primarily on estate planning, probate, and trust administration, as well as related gift and estate tax issues for high-net-worth individuals and families. He works with clients across the State of Washington, as well as in and around Bozeman, Montana.

Josh has extensive experience drafting wills and trusts that implement each client’s unique objectives, whether the goals are general, such simplifying estate administration and reducing tax liabilities to preserve wealth for future generations, or whether the goals are specific, such as utilizing estate assets to set up scholarship endowments or ensuring that loved ones with special needs are appropriately provided for in a sustainable manner. Josh strives to ensure that each client he works with has an estate plan that they understand and have confidence in.

As part of his practice, Josh regularly advises both lay and professional fiduciaries—such as executors, personal representatives, and trustees—in the implementation of estate plans. He assists fiduciaries in the fulfillment of their legal obligations to settle an estate or trust and can help them to navigate complex tax issues and difficult family dynamics.

Josh also helps clients with forming business entities. He frequently assists clients with establishing limited liability companies for small businesses and rental properties in order to help protect clients’ personal assets from exposure to the claims of judgement creditors. Josh also has experience setting up nonprofit corporations and obtaining tax-exempt status for charitable organizations.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys hiking, skiing, motorcycling, and working on his patience and composure while playing golf.
