Jonathan Charles Stevens

My experience with Jonathan C. Stevens was absolutely terrible. I paid him $15,450 plus $175 for a consultation, and he has not returned a single penny. A substitution of attorney form and other documents were submitted using my name without my knowledge, consent, or proper authorization. When I conf...ronted him about these unauthorized filings, he blamed it on staff error. I do not consider documents filed without my actual consent or valid authorization to be legitimate representations of my instructions. Furthermore, documents were not provided to me when requested. Throughout the process, I felt completely ignored. Every time I tried to explain details about my case or discuss points I wanted raised in my appeal, I was cut off. The specific points I wanted included in my appeal were not raised, and I ultimately lost the appeal. Even worse, my indemnity agreement was made public against my strict instructions, resulting in a direct $36,000 financial loss for me. I hired an attorney expecting professional representation, communication, and protection of my interests. Instead, I was left dealing with the consequences of uncoordinated representation and financial losses. I paid him $15,625 altogether, and he has not refunded any of it. He also needs to return my $36,000, which I lost because of his decision to make the indemnity agreement public. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with legal representation, and I would never hire Jonathan C. Stevens again nor recommend him to anyone.
